Dodgers Reportedly Among Several Teams Scouting Cole Hamels

The misfortunes of the Los Angeles Dodgers seem to be worsening as the 2021 All-Star break draws near. Despite remaining in divisional contention with one of the best records in the National League, the Dodgers fell to the Diamondbacks at home on Friday night, as Arizona collected just its second win over its last 30 contests on the road.

One of the secondary storylines of the evening revolved around former World Series MVP Cole Hamels and the Dodgers’ need for pitching. According to reports, the 37-year-old lefty will be holding a showcase for teams in Texas next week.

Dodgers Face Diamondbacks in Final Series Before All-Star Break

The Los Angeles Dodgers are finally back home after a rollercoaster 5-3 road trip. The Blue Crew swept a four-game series against the Nationals, then lost the first three games of a four-game series against the Marlins before salving Thursday’s game.

Who Were Biggest 2021 All-Star Snubs for Dodgers?

As all good things must come to an end sometime. The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ nine-game winning streak was broken Monday night with a 5-4 loss to the Miami Marlins, but the team now looks to begin a new streak as the All-Star Game break approaches. Speaking of which, the complete rosters for the 2021 Mid-Summer Classic were unveiled this Sunday.

No Dodger players were among the starters, but three players made the reserves — first baseman Max Muncy and outfielders Chris Taylor and Mookie Betts. After Muncy was named, NL skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Sunday that Muncy will start at DH and bat second.

Dodgers News and Notes: Winning Streak, Trevor Bauer, All-Star Selections, More

What a long, strange week it was for the Los Angeles Dodgers. And yet, they didn’t lose a game.

After having been no-hit by the Chicago Cubs 10 days ago, the Dodgers have not lost again. They won the next three games against the Cubs, took both games against the San Francisco Giants, and then flew cross country to battle both the weather and the red hot Washington Nationals. And still they didn’t lose a game.

In the midst of this week of tough opponents, the Dodgers also lost their highest-paid pitcher Trevor Bauer has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball while he is investigated for sexual assault allegations. And still, they didn’t lose a game.

Dodgers Sweep Nationals Amid 9-Game Winning Streak

Although it was one of the most enduring series of the 2021 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers dug deep, finding a way to steal all four games from the Washington Nationals on Independence Day weekend.

Because of Trevor Bauer’s placement on administrative leave by the MLB on Friday, the Dodgers were forced to employ yet another bullpen game in the season finale on Sunday.

Dodgers Visit White House, Trevor Bauer Placed on Administrative Leave

After their 6-2 win over the Nationals in five-inning contest cut short by storms, the Los Angeles Dodgers visited President Joe Biden and the White House on Friday morning.

The 2020 World Series Champs presented President Biden with a jersey donning the number 46. Dodger reliever Joe Kelly stole the show on social media rocking the mariachi jacket he traded for a couple of days ago at Dodger Stadium.

It was also announced that Dodger right-hander Trevor Bauer was placed on the seven-day administrative leave by the MLB amid the ongoing allegations. Dodger Manager Dave Roberts had previously stated he was still planning to start Bauer on Sunday, but the skipper will have to look for another starter.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and their biggest offseason signing have found themselves in a difficult situation, and it isn’t because of sticky stuff on the field.

Over the winter, the Dodgers landed the biggest free agent pitcher on the market, right hander Trevor Bauer. Fresh off of a Cy Young Award with the Cincinnati Reds, Bauer dominated the baseball news cycles while ‘deciding’ with which team to sign. It came down to the New York Mets and Los Angeles, with Bauer ultimately signing with the Dodgers.
