Who Is Justin Wrobleski?

As the active roster of the Los Angeles Dodgers continues to spin in circles, fans can add another name to their get-to-know list this weekend.

In Sunday’s weekend series finale against the Brewers, 23-year-old lefty Justin Wrobleski will get his first major league start. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 190 pounds, the Illinois native is probably smaller than today’s standards for starting pitchers. However, he’s one of the fastest rising stars on the farm and packs an above average heater that clocks in around 97 MPH.

Dodgers Roster: What Lies Ahead for Landon Knack?

The starting pitching carousel that fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers are highly familiar with is beginning to spin quite rapidly. Not counting the occasional bullpen game by a reliever, the Dodgers have already used seven legit starting pitchers so far this season, eight if you count the two starts by Michael Grove earlier in the year.

Dodgers Prospect Watch: A Closer Look at River Ryan

The crazy thing about prospect rankings is that many of them don’t consider momentum or whether a player is injured. In the most recent round of MLB Pipeline’s rankings for the Los Angeles Dodgers, there were two pitchers who haven’t even appeared in a game this season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Wednesday morning the acquisition of Cavan Biggio from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Braydon Fisher.

Dodgers Prospect Watch: A Closer Look at Josue De Paula

Going back four years to the 2020 World Championship team, it appeared that the Los Angeles Dodgers had an incredibly solid outfield foundation at the major league level. Mookie Betts was among the elite right fielders in the game, and despite his offensive inconsistencies, Cody Bellinger was an extraordinary defender in center. Although Joc Pederson was drifting past his prime as a hitter and defender, Chris Taylor produced the second-best OPS of his career at .843.

Dodgers Opinions – How Much of a Role Does the Hitting Coach Play, Anyway?

(This also could be used in context of a manger in the postseason about slumping players but I digress)

The Los Angeles Dodgers have, on paper, one of the most high powered offense in all of Major League Baseball. They may also have the most inconsistent.

Dodgers End Homestand on Positive Note, Prepare for Pirates

After an ugly stretch involving the club’s worst losing streak in recent years, the Los Angeles Dodgers have won five of their last six games thanks to some timely hitting and solid pitching against the Mets and Rockies.

Although the club’s current offensive output hasn’t been anywhere near the numbers it produced over the first several weeks of the season, the team seems to be doing just enough to put themselves in the winning column, albeit against some of the worst teams in the league.

Random Thoughts on the First Quarter of the Dodgers 2024 Season

The roller coaster season that is the 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers has reached the quarterway part – probably equivalent to the first big stomach in your throat inducing drop and has you a little worried about what is to come.

For the majority of Dodgers fans, they aren’t so much worried about the rest of the season, but they are looking forward apprehensively to the end part and if what happens now could carry over into October.

Dodgers Looking for Offensive Spark as Road Trip Moves to New York

Heading into the beginning of the current road trip in Cincinnati, most fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers would have never presumed there was even a slight chance of being swept by the Reds. After all, Cincinnati was 18-30 at the beginning of the series, well-cemented in the bottom of the National League Central.
