If there’s a single area of the Dodgers as a whole that we haven’t spoken much about over the winter, it’s undeniably the crew which makes up the infield. While there are tons of good things to say regarding each player, not many negative aspects exist. At the end of the day, on paper at least, this group could very easily be considered among the best in the game on both sides of the ball.

With six weeks remaining before pitchers and catchers start filing into the clubhouse at Camelback Ranch, there’s certainly enough time to make a few roster upgrades heading into Cactus League play if the front office crew of the Dodgers decides to do so. But if the team brings an almost identical look from last year to the beginning of the 2017 regular season, will the club have enough firepower to win a fifth consecutive division title, and more importantly, have the strength to make a deep run into the playoffs in October?

Emirates and the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced the sponsorship of the Dubai Little League Divisional Teams, which will go by the name of the Dubai Dodgers. Emirates and the Dodgers will also inaugurate the Emirates Airline Dubai Little League Park which will become the home of the Dubai Little League.

For some strange reason, many fans of the Dodgers weren’t overly optimistic about a positive outcome at the beginning of Game 1 on Saturday night at Wrigley Field in Chicago. After all, the Boys in Blue must have been close to exhaustion after laying everything on the line in Game 5 of the NLDS just two days prior, without an opportunity for even a short layover at home. Plus, southpaw Jon Lester had been sensational as of late while the Dodgers’ opening offering, Japanese rookie Kenta Maeda, had recently been showing signs of a somewhat tired and weary right arm.
