Dodgers End Road Trip at 4-2; Head Home For Eight Games in Seven Days

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed their six game road trip Wednesday, compiling a 4-2 record along the way. Normally that would be a good winning percentage on the road; the Dodgers dropped two of three to the Pittsburgh Pirates, when they should have won two of the three.

Dodgers Roster: More Thoughts on 2022 Starting Rotation

Fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers just love to speculate about player depth, seemingly more than any other fan base across the majors.

Los Angeles is probably deeper than any other club in the big leagues with position players, as they virtually didn’t miss a beat when Corey Seager tested free agency and landed a job with the Texas Rangers. The team’s position player depth speaks volumes when a player like Chris Taylor isn’t guaranteed a spot on the lineup card every night, even though skipper Dave Roberts says he much prefers to use CT in a flexible utility role.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from the First Month of 2022 Dodgers Baseball

April is coming to a close and along with it the first month of the 2022 season. Right now, the Los Angeles Dodgers are 12-6, and in second place in the NL West, 0.5 games behind the San Francisco Giants.

Overall, the Dodgers have played well. But for as talented and stacked as this team is, they are still leaving some things to be desired. But we will start with the best parts of the team.

Dodgers News and Notes – Bellinger Player of the Week, Dodgers Pitching Dominance and More

Through the Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training and into the start of the season, fans wondered about Cody Bellinger and if he would ever regain his 2019 NL MVP status.

Bellinger looked lost at the plate in Spring Training, striking out a lot and barely getting the bat on the ball. He was tinkering much with his swing, trying to find his form. He quipped that he was just getting his “punchies” (his word for strikeouts) out of the way in Spring Training.

Thoughts on Dodgers’ First Road Trip of the Season

Tony Gonsolin Begins 2022 Regular Season in Key Starting Rotation Role

Things to Keep an Eye on Through the Dodgers Season, Opening Day Roster Announced

On Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers will begin their quest to win another World Series.

This team and season are a bit reminiscent of the 2017 team, where the expectations were sky high – win the World Series or bust. The feeling around the league is that the Dodgers are the best team around, and anything less than making the World Series, and winning, would be a disappointment.

But as we saw last season, things happen along the way to derail the train on the way to the station. Fighting for the division right down until the last games, losing a key starting pitcher and your first baseman made it hard to repeat as world champs.

Dodgers News and Notes – Roster Decisions, New Trade Deadline and More
