After sweeping the Chicago Cubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers dropped the opening game of a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday. The loss ended their six-game winning streak, as well as a 16-game winning streak against the Pirates. Such games are bound to happen, especially in an early game after a long flight.

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs over the weekend, including a doubleheader on Saturday and an appearance on Sunday Night Baseball. The Dodgers out scored the Cubs 20-3 with all three starters doing a great job. Dodgers starters have now allowed two earned runs or fewer over the last fifteen games.

Even the most dedicated Clayton Kershaw fans wouldn’t have guessed the legendary Dodger lefty would have posted a 4-0 record with a 1.80 ERA through his first five starts of the 2022 season.
The lockout had many baseball enthusiasts guessing what would occur with a prospective Kershaw contract, as there was serious speculation that the three-time Cy Young winner was strongly being courted by general manager Chris Young and the Texas Rangers. Yet, even though the Dodgers eventually nabbed CK on a one-year deal, more conjecture surfaced as to why he agreed with Los Angeles on such a short contract.
So far this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have used superior pitching, decent offense and sound defense to produce one of the best records in baseball. Despite their success, there have been some areas of concern for fans, primarily when it comes to offensive consistency.

After sweeping a two-game series against the San Francisco Giants and an off day on Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers were supposed to start a three game series in Chicago Friday against the Cubs. That series will now start now Saturday, after Friday’s game was postponed due to inclement weather.

24-year-old second baseman Michael Busch has gotten off to his hottest start as a professional.
Through his first 20 games at Double-A Tulsa this year, the lefty-hitting Minnesota native is slashing an impressive .286/.446/.671 with eight homers, three doubles and 20 RBI. What’s even more impressive is that he’s already drawn 19 walks, indicating a growing patience at the plate after punching out 129 times last year.
