If you’re one of the millions of people enjoying the show This Is Us, you’ll know that Randall and his wife Beth do a thing before a big event called “Worst Case Scenario.” They vocalize the worst things that could happen, in thought that they could prepare themselves for such an instance. Today, the day before Opening Day, we are going to do that. Vocalize our worst fears, in anticipation of them happening and setting ourselves up to deal, or, more likely, them not happening and our worse fears never being realized.

Dodger Owner & Chairman Mark Walter and the Los Angeles Dodgers today announced a donation of $2 million to Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico to support rebuilding efforts following the devastation left behind by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

If you missed Friday’s column, I took a few moments to quickly layout the names which will conceivably make up the majority of the Oklahoma City Dodgers 25-man roster when they open the season early next month at Iowa. Nine years ago my grown son dragged me to Phoenix for a weekend spring training visit.  I’m a lifelong fan of the Dodgers, but had never done the “spring thing.” However, after one visit, I was hooked.  I’ve gone every year since and feel fortunate that my son and his friends seem happy to include me at their annual gathering.  The following may include details that you couldn’t care less about, but I’m including them for the benefit of those who have never been and who might be thinking of making the trip one day.
