From now to the August 2 trade deadline, lots of speculation will surround 23-year-old outfielder Juan Soto, and for a good reason. The Washington Nationals have made it clear that the right fielder is available for trade, and every contender is interested.
Soto is still very young and could be a huge boost to a contender, especially if the club that lands him is eventually able to sign him to a long-term deal.

After a successful and eventful All-Star weekend at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers now set their sights on the second half of the season and a march towards a hopeful World Series win.
While there was a lot of hand wringing by fans over the first half of the season, it really was very good. While managing both key players’ injuries and subpar performances by two usual contributors, the Dodgers still sit atop the NL West with a commanding 10 game lead over the San Diego Padres, and a 12.5 game lead over the San Francisco Giants.

The All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium is finally here, and Clayton Kershaw is the National League’s starting pitcher. It is well deserved — if you’re a baseball fan, you can’t help but think what a great moment this will be, especially since it is long overdue. The Los Angeles Dodgers won a wild and crazy game on Sunday, to complete a regular season sweep of the Chicago Cubs. After going down 5-0 in the top of the first, they completed a comeback to win the game 11-9.

In 2021, Julio Urias was a 20-game-winner and was the National League leader in wins. While he may not win 20 games this year, his overall numbers have improved. In 16 starts this season, Urias has posted a 2.57 ERA.
In Monday’s start against the Colorado Rockies, Urias pitched six innings only allowing one run and one walk while striking out seven. The left-hander since last year’s All-Star Break has the second-best ERA in the National League at 2.32.
