In the middle game of the weekend series against the Giants on Saturday night, Corey Seager came up huge, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI. He helped lift the Dodgers to a 7-2 victory, as his team is back in the winning column after a two-game skid, leading the second-place Rockies in the West by a full 10 games.. Seager is amid his most productive streak of the season—when he’s hot, he certainly makes the Los Angeles lineup one of the most potent in the league.

The offensive fireworks were definitely not as prolific as they’ve been for the Dodgers recently. and the middle of the Los Angeles bullpen was once again victimized by some very timely hitting. In a contest that was very quiet for the first half of the evening, the Giants walked away with a 4-2 win against the Dodgers in the series opener Monday night at Dodger Stadium.

It was an opening weekend for the record books. The Dodgers hit 14 home runs, scored 42 runs total, mounted a beautiful comeback on Sunday, and overall went 3-1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks to open the 2019 season.
