Collective Bargaining Talks Between Union, MLB to Resume on Sunday

While some pundits are not ruling out a potential lockout in the coming weeks or months, representatives from both the players’ union and the MLB offices continue to make small strides towards a new collective bargaining agreement, and are optimistic that matters could be resolved quickly when both sides go back to the bargaining table on Sunday in Dallas after a five-day recess.

It’s been a little quiet lately for the Dodgers in regards to the Hot Stove. All of us are eagerly waiting to hear that they have re-signed Justin Turner and/or Kenley Jansen. That announcement(s) probably won’t come soon enough for our liking, if at all. Meanwhile, a team within the division made a trade earlier this week. The Arizona Diamondbacks traded Jean Segura, Zac Curtis and Mitch Hanover to the Seattle Mariners for Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte.

Dodgers Take Part in 12th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, in partnership with Ralphs/Food 4 Less, hosted the 12th annual Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Tuesday afternoon at Dodger StadiumDodger Alumni League members Ron Cey and Eric Karros, in addition to Dodger broadcaster Charley Steiner, were on hand to help distribute a complimentary turkey, fixings and reusable canvas bags to 1,200 pre-selected families and non-profit community organizations, who in turn distributed them to Los Angeles-area families in need.

Being normal for the time of year, there are many trade rumors going around. One tweet stirring up some interesting thoughts is an idea by Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. He sees the Chicago White Sox being very good trade partners for the Dodgers. Chris Sale, Todd Frazier, Jose Quintana, and David Robertson are players that the White Sox would be willing to move in order to restructure, while Cody Bellinger, Alex Verdugo, Jose De Leon, Willie Calhoun and Yasiel Puig are all players that the White Sox could have interest in.
