The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the NL West the last eight consecutive years. With the exception of 2018 when it took a one game playoff with the Colorado Rockies to decide the winner, the Dodgers have usually won it pretty handily and look to do so again in 2021.

On Thursday, Major League Baseball held its Rule 5 draft, when clubs without a full 40-man roster could select certain non-protected players from other clubs.
Today would have been the day that the Winter Meetings would have started were there no Covid to ruin yet another thing. The Hot Stove might have started heating up, but instead of meeting all in one place, meetings will take place virtually, and the stove will probably stay lukewarm for awhile.
The World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers had many key players show up in big moments during the October playoff run. Seven players of the championship roster are currently free agents. With the off-season hot stove being pretty cold at the moment, there hasn’t been much action.

While there isn’t any baseball until late February when pitchers and catchers report to spring training, it doesn’t mean baseball takes a break, as many activities continue year-round. Teams have begun to hire new managers, and soon teams will look to make free-agent offseason splashes. While the winter meetings may not be the same as previous years, baseball fans across the world will be refreshing their Twitter feed to hear the latest rumors as the offseason progresses.
After Tuesday evening’s bench-clearing incident in Houston, Major League Baseball has issued several suspensions which will affect the Dodgers as early as Wednesday’s finale.
