On Thursday, Major League Baseball held its Rule 5 draft, when clubs without a full 40-man roster could select certain non-protected players from other clubs.
While the MLB Winter Meetings have taken on an entirely new look this year because of health concerns surrounding the pandemic, there won’t be anything from preventing the Rule 5 Draft from being orchestrated as normal.
The Dodgers announced on Friday afternoon that they have added four players to the organization’s 40-man roster ahead of next month’s Rule 5 draft. The players added include right-handed pitchers Gerardo Carrillo, Andre Jackson and Edwin Uceta, in addition to OF Zach Reks.
