Dodgers Officially Announce Justin Turner Signing, Other Spring Training Notes

The Los Angeles Dodgers officially announced the re-signing of Justin Turner on Friday morning via a Zoom press conference. The Dodgers and Turner agreed to a $34 million contract for two years plus an option. The contract includes a club option for 2023 for $16 million or a $2 million buyout. The deal also includes an $8 million signing bonus.

Which Remaining Free Agents Could Dodgers Theoretically Sign?

We are now only a couple of weeks from the planned commencement of 2021 Spring Training. After the Players Association rejected the league’s proposal for a 154-game season yesterday, MLB announced that it is planning to start Spring Training and the MLB season on time. No Players Inducted into Hall of Fame, Latest on Justin Turner and Marcus Semien

The announcement for the National Baseball Hall of Fame inductions took place on Tuesday afternoon. For the first time since 2013, no players received 75% of the votes required to be inducted. Curt Schilling was the closest missing out by 16 votes. Behind Schilling, were Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens.

Honoring Hank Aaron, Several Rumors Surrounding Dodgers

The baseball family lost another great Friday morning when the great home run king Hank Aaron passed away at 86 years old. He finished his career with 755 total home runs, a record that stood until in 2017. Aaron spent most of his career with the Braves and Brewers. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982 in his first year of eligibility. Aaron was also an avid Civil Rights Activist. It has been a tough week for baseball fans, as just couple of days ago we also lost the great Don Sutton.
