The Los Angeles Dodgers announced their eight selections from the second day of the 2022 Draft on Monday afternoon, picking University of Central Florida shortstop Alex Freeland (third round, 105th pick), Virginia Tech outfielder Nick Biddison (fourth round, 135th pick), Arizona State University infielder Sean McLain (fifth round, 165th pick), P27 Academy shortstop Logan Wagner (sixth round, 195th pick), St. Mary’s College infielder Christopher Campos (seventh round, 225th pick), Louisiana Tech second baseman Taylor Young (eighth round, 255th pick), University of Virginia left-handed pitcher Brandon Neeck (ninth round, 285th pick), and Westmount College catcher Simon Reid (tenth round, 315th pick).

The Los Angeles Dodgers selected catcher Dalton Rushing from the University of Louisville with their first selection of the 2022 MLB draft, according to a team announcement on Sunday evening.
Rushing, 21, was chosen with the 40th overall selection after having played in 64 games for the Louisville Cardinals last season. In 64 games, he hit .310 with 16 doubles, 23 homers, 62 RBI and 68 runs scored. His 23 long balls were tied for fourth most in Louisville history and were the most by a Cardinal since the 2009 season.

One of the first things we typically do as fans during the All-Star break is take a step back and reflect on how our favorite team performed during the first half of the season.

With the trade deadline just a few weeks away, there hasn’t been an overwhelming amount of news surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers, aside from a few whispers about infielder Brandon Drury and the perennial rumblings surrounding pitcher Luis Castillo.
The team has been somewhat busy on the bottom-end of the market, having brought back reliever Jake Reed after he was waived by the Mets and signing another reliever in Hansel Robles after being released by the Red Sox.
According to a team statement, the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday afternoon, recalled right-handed pitcher Reyes Moronta after placing right-handed pitcher Brusdar Graterol on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation, backdated to July 11.
