As fans of the Dodgers continue to sit and wait for news of any signings or trades the team might be making, one can’t help still wonder who will be behind the plate for the majority of the 2019 season.

Without question, the biggest move the Dodgers made so far this offseason was signing fireballer Joe Kelly to a three-year deal. Actually, it was the only big move (unless you count the Kershaw contract), as most of the other signings and deals were mostly dribble in creating depth right along the fringe. We’ll talk more about that in a bit.
The Dodgers upset and disappointed quite a few fans recently when they traded Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Kyle Farmer and Alex Wood to Cincinnati. Most Dodger fans love the Wild Horse, but many other fans across the league despise him. His teammates grew to love him, too, from all reports. This is particularly impressive when you consider how thoroughly disliked he was as recently as 2016. Back then, he annoyed the hell out of me and I wanted him gone. He was a lazy, spoiled prima donna. Or so I thought.
While we first heard news about it on New Year’s Eve, and even though the Dodgers themselves still haven’t announced the signing of Shane Peterson, on Wednesday Ken Rosenthal tweeted a report, which makes the addition at least a little more official.
First and foremost, happy New Year to all the readers out there!

While we wait for the New Year’s ball and news from the Dodgers‘ front office to drop, we can continue to look ahead at who we know will be with the team for the 2019 season.

While there has been a ton of speculation as to how the Dodgers plan on lining up their outfield crew in 2019, many pundits feel that the club is considering a bonafide right-handed bat to replace the production of Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp, especially if progress fizzles in the pursuit of Bryce Harper.
While many fans of the Dodgers are focused on the team acquiring a catcher or perhaps an impact outfielder in the coming weeks, they can’t forget about one of the biggest returns the Dodgers will see in 2019.
It’s been more than a month now since the Dodgers have been tied to Cleveland ace Corey Kluber in trade talks, and needless to say, it’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride. Seemingly, there was a point a few weeks ago where the sides were supposedly close to a deal; yet, there was another juncture when the Indians were believed to have taken their ace off the table completely.
