Taking a Look at Several Possible Player Additions for Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been there and done that regarding big trades. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Yu Darvish. Since the team is regularly among the perennial candidates, it is no debate as to why they execute these trades.
This trade deadline season isn’t any different, as the Dodgers have many names linked to them.

Trayce Thompson Has Made the Most of His Opportunity
When Mookie Betts went down earlier this season with cracked ribs, the Dodgers were looking for help with a right-handed bat in the outfield. Several names were thrown around, and eventually, the team settled on Trayce Thompson from the Detroit Tigers for cash considerations.
A familiar name among Dodger fans, the 31-year-old Thompson returned to his second stint in L.A. after bouncing around the league for a couple of seasons. At first, it seemed he’d be a fill-in until Betts returned.

What Would It Take for Dodgers to Land Juan Soto?
From now to the August 2 trade deadline, lots of speculation will surround 23-year-old outfielder Juan Soto, and for a good reason. The Washington Nationals have made it clear that the right fielder is available for trade, and every contender is interested.
Soto is still very young and could be a huge boost to a contender, especially if the club that lands him is eventually able to sign him to a long-term deal.

Freeway Series Preview, Latest Dodger Notes
The final series of the first half is here, and wow, did it fly by quickly. The Dodgers and Angels will play a two-game Freeway series before the All-Star break, with a rare off-day on Sunday.
The Dodgers lead the season series two games to none, with Tyler Anderson pitching a no-hitter into the ninth in one of those games. If the Dodgers can sweep these next two games, they’ll finish with 60 wins in the first half, which is quite remarkable due to the team’s injuries.

Should Julio Urias Make 2022 NL All-Star Squad?
In 2021, Julio Urias was a 20-game-winner and was the National League leader in wins. While he may not win 20 games this year, his overall numbers have improved. In 16 starts this season, Urias has posted a 2.57 ERA.
In Monday’s start against the Colorado Rockies, Urias pitched six innings only allowing one run and one walk while striking out seven. The left-hander since last year’s All-Star Break has the second-best ERA in the National League at 2.32.
