Latest on Clayton Kershaw

The Los Angeles Dodgers may soon be welcoming back a familiar face to their starting rotation. Clayton Kershaw, working his way back from offseason knee and toe surgeries, is scheduled to make another Triple-A rehab start on Sunday that could be his final tune-up before rejoining the major league club.

The 37-year-old future Hall of Famer has been steadily building his pitch count and showing encouraging signs throughout his rehab assignment, including six impressive no-hit innings against rookie-level competition in the Arizona Complex League on Tuesday.

Contemplating Dustin May’s Uncertain Future with the Los Angeles Dodgers

When Dustin May takes the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers, his electric stuff is undeniable  — a high-90s sinker with exceptional movement, a devastating curveball and a cutter that keeps hitters constantly off-balance. Although his velocity isn’t quite as high as the days before his last elbow surgery, his spin rate is still as impressive as ever. Yet the right-hander’s career has been defined as much by his time in the trainer’s room as his time on the pitching rubber.

Dodgers Starting Rotation: Who Will Emerge as Next Ace?

The starting rotation of the Los Angeles Dodgers has entered a new era, as a true ace has not yet emerged to replace the legendary Clayton Kershaw, who shouldered the role for nearly a decade. With Kershaw’s health concerns and diminished role, several high-profile arms now vie for the coveted status as the staff’s undisputed leader. From Japanese stars Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki and Shohei Ohtani to the questionable health of Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow, the race remains wide open.

Updates on Clayton Kershaw, Tony Gonsolin

The Los Angeles Dodgers started the 2025 regular season with a bang, handling the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo and then returning home to sweep the Detroit Tigers at Chavez Ravine. There were many things to be impressed about, including the team’s grit during Friday night’s comeback against the Cubs in extra innings.

This club might be as deep as we’ve seen in decades if most of the key players stay healthy. The starting rotation is solid with a handful of high-quality arms that will be around for the next several seasons. And, with reinforcements likely available by mid-season, the Dodgers should easily be able to switch to a six-man rotation whenever needed.

Dodgers Bolster Pitching Staff with Roki Sasaki, Tanner Scott

To say the Los Angeles Dodgers have put themselves in a position for another strong playoff run in 2025 would be an understatement. By adding top-shelf pitchers like Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki and most recently reliever Tanner Scott, the team is poised to be a legit postseason contender for the foreseeable future.

Heading into the winter, many fans had their fingers crossed that a starting rotation led by Yoshinobu Yamamoto would be good enough to win a fourth-straight NL West title. At the time, there were many question marks — whether Tyler Glasnow, Tony Gonsolin and Dustin May could finally stay healthy, if Clayton Kershaw had any gas in the tank, and whether Shohei Ohtani would be able to contribute to the pitching staff by Opening Day.

More Thoughts on Blake Snell Signing With Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday afternoon made the signing of Blake Snell official, revealing that they snagged the 31-year-old lefty to a five-year, $182 million contract after he opted out of his current two-year deal with rival San Francisco.

For front-office boss Andrew Friedman and his crew, this acquisition represents more than just adding another high-quality arm — it spearheads what could be a productive offseason that sets the team up for a run at another World Championship.
