For those of you who like to follow what’s happening with the minor league affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers, you no doubt have caught a glimpse of what 29-year-old Rangel Ravelo has been doing at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
No doubt, the 413-foot bomb that Gavin Lux launched in the eighth inning of Tuesday night’s victory was one of the most clutch moments the team has seen in weeks. While there have been a few other bright spots here and there offensively, the Dodgers just might find a way to put together a string of success should more of these huge plays occur in critical moments.
If there’s one main, recurring theme we keep hearing about the Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s undeniably the concept of player depth. There are some fans who may actually be growing tired of the term, but it’s definitely one of the primary reasons the club has succeeded so much in recent years.
