Dodgers Host Giants for Final Time in 2022

While many fans of the Dodgers anticipated a much tighter division race at the beginning of the season, the final meeting between Los Angeles and San Francisco at Dodger Stadium this year has little impact on the way the NL West is turning out.

Before Monday’s first pitch, the Dodgers own a full 19-game lead over the Padres. The Giants are still on the southside of .500 with a 64-68 record and 27-1/2 games out of first place.

Dodgers Split Series with Brewers, Return Home to Face Marlins

Although the Dodgers could have secured a series victory against the Brewers with a win in Thursday’s finale, they came up on the short end of a 5-3 loss, resulting in a 2-2 series split.

Lefty Andrew Heaney got the start for Los Angeles, and although he looked good at times — as shown by his impressive 10 strikeouts — he was still unable to last through five full innings of work.

Dodgers Fall to Royals in Weekend Series Finale

There wasn’t much to write home about for the Dodgers in Sunday’s road loss to the Royals.

Although lefty starter Tyler Anderson threw seven decent innings of three-run ball, the Los Angeles offense was non-existent in the 4-0 loss, generating just a double from Mookie Betts, a single from Chris Taylor and a handful of walks. The Dodgers’ first hit of the day didn’t come until Taylor’s single in the fifth.

On Enjoying this Moment of Dodger Baseball

The Los Angeles Dodgers are enjoying a well deserved off day at home, after sweeping both the Giants in San Francisco, and the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers Roster: More Thoughts on the 2022 Bullpen

One of the first things we typically do as fans during the All-Star break is take a step back and reflect on how our favorite team performed during the first half of the season.

It’s usually a relatively straightforward task, as we can say the team is overachieving, underachieving or somewhere right on track. However, with the 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers, there have been so many ups and downs it’s hard to even gauge their performance.
