The Dodgers had an eventful start to their East Coast road trip, managing to take two of three from the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. After the first game where the offense could barely muster a run, they exploded to score 11 runs in the second game, and then took 12 innings to finally get the win on Sunday evening.

Tony Gonsolin‘s major league debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers maybe is one he’d like to forget, and the game as a whole was one the team should soon forget, as the Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-2 while only getting one win in the three game series.
Pinch-hitting for Kenley Jansen in the bottom of the ninth inning in Sunday’s finale, rookie catcher Will Smith slugged a three-run, pinch-hit walkoff homer to secure both a 6-3 victory and series sweep over division rival Colorado.

In what initially seemed like it would be a tight contest to the finish, the Dodgers piled on seven runs in a lopsided eighth inning, propelling them to an 8-0 victory over the Phillies at Chavez Ravine on Sunday. The win clinched the series sweep for the Dodgers, who now have 41 wins on the year—more than any other team in baseball.
