Before Game 6 even began on Tuesday evening, outfielder Yasiel Puig guaranteed fans of the Dodgers that there would indeed be a Game 7 on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium. His promise ultimately held true, as Los Angeles held on for a 3-1 victory which tied the 2017 World Series at three games apiece.

Dodgers Slightly Adjust Lineup to Face Justin Verlander in Game 6

The good news is the World Series has now shifted back to Los Angeles where the Dodgers were stellar during the regular season and have been nearly untouchable in the playoffs. The bad news is there’s no margin for error, as the Astros are just a single win away from a World Championship. On top of that, Houston is sending veteran righty Justin Verlander to the bump, who has been absolutely outstanding during the 2017 postseason.

Phillies Reportedly Hire Gabe Kapler as New Manager

It’s still not completely official, but the Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly hired Dodgers‘ farm director Gabe Kapler as their new manager. Jon Heyman and Robert Murray of FanRag Sports were the first to pass along the news, not long after the completion of Game 5 of the World Series in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Dodgers Lose Heartbreaker in Extras, Head Back Home for Game 6

What a roller coaster of a game. Both starters were chased early, neither getting the win. Tying homers on top of tying homers. It was the first World Series game ever with three three-or-more game tying home runs. The pitcher that Dave Roberts said was not available before the game, apparently was. And if Game 1 was an ocassion where both these pitchers pitched a tidy affair, this game was anything but. In the end, it did not finish in the Dodgers‘ favor.

Dodgers Rally Late, Tie World Series with Convincing Game 4 Win
