MLB Announces New Rules for 2023, Latest Dodger Notes

Games at Dodger Stadium and MLB ballparks will look a bit differently next year, as MLB has instituted the new on-field play rules for the 2023 season.

MLB hopes to improve the pace of play and create more game action. First up is the pitch clock. One person who may not be happy is Pedro Baez. Pitchers have 15 seconds to throw a pitch if the bases are empty, 20 seconds with runners on, and hitters only get one timeout per plate appearance.

Can Dodgers Eclipse All-Time MLB Win Record?

The teams with the two best records in the majors begin a series Tuesday night. The Los Angeles Dodgers, with the best record in baseball at 89-38, face off against the Mets 82-47 at Citi Field.

There is a little over a month to go in the regular season, and the Dodgers continue to steamroll everyone, and it is starting to feel like a pretty historic season.

Early Thoughts on a 2022 Playoff Rotation

It’s almost September, as this season went by in a flash. The Dodgers hit their stride after the All-Star game break, establishing themselves as the top team in the majors.

They’ve had a stretch of 50 games in which they went 41-9. It’s pretty ridiculous how this team has spoiled us the past couple of years, and I can see why everyone else is envious.

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Max Muncy to a one-year extension with a club option until 2024. His contract is worth $13.5 million for next season. Muncy struggled most of the year after an elbow injury that kept him off last year’s postseason.

Dodgers Return Home to Face Marlins

After posting a 4-3 record on their latest road trip, the Dodgers are finally back home, as they will begin a seven game homestand with a three game series against the Marlins.

At this point the Dodgers have a couple of things they need to focus on before the postseason. For one, it’s health. That has been the biggest factor in past seasons and figures to be that once again this year.

Dodgers First MLB Team to 80 Wins Despite a Season Filled with Injuries

Despite the team’s many injuries, the Los Angeles Dodgers have become the first MLB club to 80 wins. The Dodgers improved their league-best record to 80-34, after defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 4-0 on Monday night.

What Role Will Dustin May Play During 2022 Stretch Run?

Dustin May will join the Dodgers soon. The right-hander is expected to make his season debut next week against the Marlins. May has been out since early last season with Tommy John surgery.

Part of the reason there wasn’t a tremendous sense of urgency among Dodger fans to trade for Luis Castillo or Pablo Lopez at the trade deadline was due to the players the Dodgers were expecting to return from injury.

Dodgers Keeping Stride as Current Homestand Concludes

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been steamrolling everyone. Lately, they haven’t lost a game in over a week. The Blue Crew swept San Diego amid all the big names they traded for. The Dodgers have the best record in the majors at 75-33 and are 16 games up on the second-place Padres.

The team is hitting all cylinders with under two months left in the season. They’ve won eight games in a row and are 9-1 in their last ten games.
