Happy Monday once again Dodger fans – the second to last Monday of the regular season. Next weekend the Wild Card round begins, and then the Los Angeles Dodgers will know who they will face in the Wild Card race.
In the different format that MLB has this year, the Wild Card round will be the best out of three instead of a one and done like previous seasons.

Two weeks from today ends the 2022 regular season. Two weeks left for the Los Angeles Dodgers to decide who will be on the postseason roster, work out any kinks, and, most importantly, stay healthy.
The Dodgers currently sit at 103 wins, three shy of their all time record. As we’ve mentioned before, that record is bound to fall.

After a very blip where the Los Angeles Dodgers won 106 games but not the NL West last season, they are once again on top of their division, clinching early and in commanding fashion.
On Tuesday night, led by another stellar Clayton Kershaw outing, and with their magic number at one, the Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 to win the NL West. With 20 games left, the Dodgers have a 20.5 game lead over the second place San Diego Padres.

Apparently, someone jumped the gun saying the Dodgers were in. But don’t fear, Dodgers fans, I think they still have a good chance at getting in to the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are doing their best to stay hot, just like the weather in California right now. After losing the first game, the Boys in Blue ended up taking two-of-three from the San Francisco Giants.
As such as the weather was so incredibly warm, the balls were flying out of Dodger Stadium. 16 home runs were hit in total, and all but two of the totals runs scored were plated by the long ball.

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost three games in a row, and some fans of the Dodgers thought that this year’s version of the September Slumpies might be upon them.
One of those games was against Jacob deGrom at Citi Field in New York, and one was after they arrived back in Los Angeles at 4:00 am the night before.

As we all know, it is not what a team does in the regular season, aside from securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs, but how the team actually performs during those playoffs.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize. I was just sitting down to write this post, and the thought in my head was about how all the Los Angeles Dodgers need to do from this point on is just stay healthy.
That was disrupted by the announcement that on Monday, the Dodgers placed right handed pitcher Tony Gonsolin on the 15-day IL, with right forearm strain. The placement is retroactive to August 26th.

As we’ve talked about many times here at TBPC, the Los Angeles Dodgers offense is incredibly robust. While individual players may slump here or there, overall there are not many holes in this lineup.
With a blip against Eric Lauer on Monday, the Dodgers offense have shown their prowess against two of the top starting pitchers in the National League. On Sunday, the Dodgers knocked Cy Young leader Sandy Alcantara out of the game in the fourth inning, tagging him for six earned runs. Then on Tuesday night, the Dodgers also chased Corbin Burnes out of the game in the fourth, after he had allowed seven earned runs in 3.2 innings.
