Kahnle, Ferguson Nearing Potential Returns to Los Angeles Bullpen

While it’s too early in the season to point out any glaring team weaknesses, one area of the Los Angeles squad that may soon be receiving a boost is the bullpen.

Seven games is hardly an accurate measuring stick, but the Dodgers relief crew is currently sitting in first place in the majors with a combined 0.73 WHIP, a significantly more accurate stat than ERA when evaluating the performance of relief pitchers.

With the venue to the MLB lockout talks shifting to Florida on Monday, there’s still not much light at the end of the tunnel as far as a collective bargaining agreement goes. As it stands, the MLB on Friday cancelled spring training games between February 26 and March 4.

Dodgers, Tommy Kahnle Reportedly Agree on Two-Year Deal

The Dodgers reportedly made a bit of an unusual signing on Wednesday, inking righty reliever Tommy Kahnle to a two-year contract worth an apparent $4.75 million plus incentives.
