The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Wednesday morning the acquisition of Cavan Biggio from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Braydon Fisher.
Biggio, 29, was designated for assignment on June 7 after appearing in 44 games for the Blue Jays. He hit .200 with four doubles, two homers and nine RBI this season with Toronto. He spent six seasons with the Blue Jays, slashing a combined .227/.343/.382 with 77 doubles, four triples, 48 homers and 176 RBI in 490 career games. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the fifth round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Notre Dame University.
