Dodger Notes: Offensive Struggles Continue, Defense Still Shining

The Dodgers dropped the opening game of a four-game series at home Monday night against the Padres. Despite recording a run before they made an out in the first inning, the Dodgers couldn’t get anything going after that and lost 2-1.

4 Dodgers Named on MLB’s Top 100 Prospect List

On Tuesday, Major League Baseball released its new list for baseball’s Top 100 prospects. The Dodgers, who have always had a great farm system with tremendous depth, had a total of four prospects on the list. Two of those prospects have already seen action in the majors—infielder Gavin Lux and pitcher Brusdar Graterol.

Seven games into the season, the Dodgers have a record of 5-2, and their two MVPs, Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger, are batting .185 combined. Predicting the Dodgers’ 2020 Regular-Season Record

The Dodgers open their 60-game shortened-season schedule against the Giants on July 23. They surely will want to sprint right out of the gates in the most unusual baseball season ever. During their run of  seven consecutive division titles, the Dodgers would have only won two division titles if the seasons would have ended after 60 games. Usually, the team starts hovering above .500  and then wears out their opponents later as the season progresses.
