Squaring off against left-hander Dallas Keuchel in the opening game of the World Series on Tuesday evening, skipper Dave Roberts and the management crew of the Dodgers have decided to employ a predominantly right-handed batting order.

The 29-year-old Keuchel has gone 2-1 so far in the postseason for the Astros, with his best effort coming in Game 1 of the ALCS when he threw seven solid innings of shutout ball against the Yankees, surrendering only four hits and one walk while striking out 10 opposing batters. He went 14-5 in the regular season, posting a 2.90 ERA and a 3.79 FIP with 125 strikeouts over 145-2/3 innings of work. He has never appeared in a contest against the Dodgers in his career.

The Dodgers line up with Chris Taylor hitting leadoff, followed by Justin Turner, Cody Bellinger and Yasiel Puig hitting in the two, three and four slots, respectively. Utility man Enrique Hernandez gets the nod in left field and will hit fifth, followed by Corey Seager playing short and batting sixth. Logan Forsythe lines up in the seven-hole playing second base, while Austin Barnes will catch and bat eighth. Staff ace Clayton Kershaw will bat ninth and do the pitching.

Many wondered if Seager would get the start at Dodger Stadium, as some believed he would be exclusively used as a designated hitter once the series shifted to Houston. He moves into the six-hole for the first time in 2017, sandwiched plentifully between a slew of righty bats.

Kershaw, who is coming off an NLCS win against the Cubs after throwing six strong innings of three-hit ball, has a 6-7 career postseason record with a 4.40 ERA over 17 starts and 106-1/3 innings pitched. Kersh has a 3-2 lifetime record against the Astros, having made eights starts and posting a 2.38 ERA with 53 punchouts over an even 53 innings thrown.
