Dodgers’ Turner Continues to Lead National League’s Final All-Star Vote

With the 2017 MLB All-Star game heading into its final 24 hours, Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers is the leading vote-getter among all the candidates from both leagues, according to the most recent update from

As it stands now, third baseman Mike Moustakas of the Royals leads the American League with 8.5 million votes, while Turner tops the senior circuit with a whopping 12.9 million votes. Fans may continue to submit their votes through a number of different methods until all polls close at 4:00 p.m. ET on Thursday.

As of 1 p.m. ET, the complete 2017 MLB All-Star Game Final Vote standings are:

American League

To aid with Turner’s campaign, the Dodgers have created a Voting Room at Dodger Stadium, where members of their fan group, Pantone 294, have been voting round-the-clock. For a final push, the group will vote for 24 hours straight through tomorrow’s 1:00 p.m. deadline, which will be livestreamed on the Dodgers’ Facebook page. In addition to Turner, Adrián González, Cody Bellinger, Kenley Jansen and Dave Roberts visited the Voting Room yesterday to provide encouragement, which generated over 275,000 views of videos on the Dodgers’ Facebook page. Additional player visits are expected today.

Twitter support from the 10 candidates’ fans over the last six hours of balloting will count toward final totals. From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 6, every tweet that includes a designated player hashtag noted above will be tabulated as part of the official vote total used to determine the AL and NL winners.

Fans can also vote via text message up to 35 times per phone before balloting closes. To receive the ballot, text the word “VOTE” to 89269 or to vote for a specific player, text the choice to 89269.

The winners, as chosen exclusively by online fan voting totals, will be announced on MLB Tonight live on the MLB Network and at 6 p.m. ET. MLB Network will provide extensive coverage across all of its studio programming during the Final Vote, including interviews with the candidates, hourly updates, heat maps indicating the cities where votes are being cast for each candidate and updates on player and club campaigns.
