The Dodgers on Saturday afternoon activated left-handed pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu from the 10-day injured list and optioned right-hander Josh Sborz to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Ryu, who was sidelined with a left groin strain, will make his fourth start of the 2019 season Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Prior to going on the injured list, Ryu made three starts for the Dodgers, going 2-0 with a 3.07 ERA (5 ER/14.2 IP) with 14 strikeouts and one walk.

  1. Speak of being optioned out, old favorite Tim Locastro was optioned by the D’backs today. He had 11 at bats this season and had 4 hits, also stole 2 bases, but apparently that wasn’t good enough. We need to get him back. He would be a valuable guy to have around.

  2. He took the loss but Ryu still dominant besides Yelich who is just absolutely incredible. It still pisses me off we didn’t make a play for him. He should be wearing blue right now.

  3. Until Ferguson develops a slider he can’t take the next step and become a top pitcher. Right now everyone just sits on his fastball. Please somebody teach him!!!!! And it’s amazing our record is as good as it is getting nothing from Seager and Turner. And if Belli and JOC cool down then we get games like tonight. Not much

  4. I agree with Alex. He’s from Southern California. We had opportunity to get him and didn’t because management felt we were covered at his position. Then we trade Puig.

Yelich can hit strikes. Don’t throw him any. He sure as hell can hit hanging curve balls can’t he. That looked like a 5 iron shot.

We should win today. But even if we don’t, splitting with those guys on their field is a win.
