The never ending rotating arms traveling from the DL to the Dodgers to Oklahoma City and back again continues. On Friday night, the Dodgers announced that switch-pitcher Pat Venditte and left handed Adam Liberatore were recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, Brock Stewart was optioned back to OKC, and Dennis Santana was placed on the 10-Day disabled list retroactive to June 5.
Venditte is now on his fourth stint with the Dodgers this season. He’s allowed three runs over 3.2 innnings. In 22 games with Oklahoma City, He’s gone 2-0 with two saves and a 1.50 ERA with 28 strikeouts and eight walks.
Liberatore is up for the second time, going 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA and holding hitters to a .214 average, striking out eight batter over 8.0 innings in 12 big league appearances. In Oklahoma City, he went 1-2 1.42 ERA striking out 14 and walking four.
Santana is the latest Dodger starting pitcher to join the DL. He was pulled during warmups on Sunday in Pittsburgh. He had just made his major league debut on June 1, where he collected his first win and first hit, while allowing five runs on six hits and striking out four in 3.2 innings. He was diagnosed with a torn right lat.
Stewart appeared in eight games, starting two of them, this season. He has a 5.60 ERA with 11 earned runs over 17.2 innings pitched, with 14 strikeouts and eight walks.
The Dodgers start a three game series against the Braves Friday night at Dodger Stadium.
