The Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday recalled left-handed pitcher Grant Dayton from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed lefty reliever Adam Liberatore on the 10-day disabled list with left forearm tightness. Liberatore’s stay on the DL may be retroactive to May 31, if needed.

Dayton, 29, has gone 1-1 with a 5.25 ERA in 14 games with the big league squad this year, limiting opponents to a .209 batting average. In six games with OKC, including one rehab start, he’s posted a 0-1 record with one save and a 6.35 ERA. He last pitched on May 29 at New Orleans, and allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts in one full inning of work. Dayton was optioned to Oklahoma City when veteran left-hander Rich Hill was activated from the disabled list on May 16.

Liberatore will be making his second trip to the DL this year and has a 2.70 ERA in four appearances with Los Angeles. The southpaw’s first trip on the disabled list lasted from May 10-25 after battling tightness in his left groin.

With the move, the Dodgers’ bullpen is still eight arms strong, assuming that Hyun-Jin Ryu will be utilized in the starting rotation, at least temporarily while Alex Wood is recovering from inflammation in his neck. The team’s current DL count stands at 11 players.
